Horsch is rolling out two new models in its precision planter line. The Maestro SW 4715 is a 47-row planter, with 15- and 30-inch row spacing capabilities on a 60-foot toolbar; and the Maestro SW 4815, which is a 48-row planter with 15- and 30-inch row spacing on a 60-foot toolbar. These planters are designed to plant between existing rows in a no-till application. Both planters feature electric motor-driven metering units with individual row shut-off, curve compensation, hydraulic down pressure and a planter weight-transfer system. Alliance Tire Americas is going big for sprayers with the new Alliance Agriflex+354 for high-clearance sprayers. The very high-flexion — VF — tire has wide steel radial belts, stubble-resistant rubber compounds, sidewalls engineered for increased flexibility, and a large air chamber to support big machines. The tire, in 420/95R50, can handle loads of more than 15,000 pounds per wheel. Vermeer is rolling out the BPX9010 bale processor with a direct-drive system for less maintenance. An optional straight forks and sidewall kit offers the ability to process both round and square bales. The slat-and-chain bale rotation design allows bales to feed consistently into the rotor without the need for reverse rotation. Brandt has many new formulations in its Smart System program approved for use with dicamba and 2,4-D. The following are approved for use with Engenia, XtendiMax with VaporGrip and FeXapan with VaporGrip: Brandt Sulfur Plus high-efficiency foliar 5-0-0 and 5% sulfur product; Brandt Smart Fe foliar iron with sulfur; and Brandt Smart K B foliar potassium with boron to be used with a drift reduction agent. The following are approved with XtendiMax and FeXapan: Brandt Smart P 4-24-0 phosphate; and Brandt Smart Quatro Plus foliar 5-0-0 with zinc, manganese, boron and sulfur. The following is approved for use with Engenia herbicide: Brandt Smart Mn Plus foliar manganese. The company has 20 products on approved lists for manufacturers of these new products. Syngenta has announced that Adepidyn fungicide will be marketed under the Miravis line of brands. This new product is an SDHI (succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor) mode of action as a carboxamide and will be marketed with five separate product offerings in the line. The products will enter the market later in 2018 and in early 2019. The fungicide shows activity on leaf spots and powdery mildew, including high efficacy against Botrytis, Sclerotinia and Corynespora. The mist sprayer is a valuable tool in orchards and specialty crops. A1 Mist Sprayers is adding the Cobra to its line. The product comes with a 40-gallon tank, 11-hp electric start GX Series Honda engine, and a side-mounted safety control center. Trimble has added two features to its Ag Software product line. Crop Health Imagery powered by PurePixel tech provides cloud-free satellite imagers to advisers and farmers. PurePixel uses proprietary tech to analyze multiple sensors inputs to produce calibrated vegetative index maps during the growing season.
